Barb and John Garden - Founders and Owners

      Betty June's opened in 2008 when Barbara Garden decided to transition from being a successful director for Mary Kay Cosmetics to being a Retail Women's Boutique owner and operator.
     Barb elected to name her boutique "Betty June's" to honor her mother, Betty June, who was a very accomplished seamstress, and who designed and created many of young Barbara's outfits.  She also made fashionable doll clothes for Barb's collection of "Barbie Dolls."
     Betty June's opened in March of 2008 on Knowles Ave. in New Richmond, WI.  The location had formerly served as Barb's husband's real estate office and was a busy Main Street location.
     Barb learned the ups and downs of retail fashion in those first few years.  In about 2011, Barb partnered up with another Boutique owner from Cumberland, WI, and together they opened a Mainstream Boutique franchise store in downtown Stillwater, MN.  Barbara also made the decision to relocate Betty June's to Stillwater as well.  Both stores were in the Historic Brick Alley Building on Main Street.  About 2014, a decision was made to sell the Mainstream Boutique franchise store to the store manager.  It was them moved out of downtown into a mall location in another part of Stillwater.
     Betty June's continues to grow, and in 2020, during the Covid shutdown, Barbara decided to expand Betty June's and doubled the store's sales floor space.  Today, Betty June's is a must-stop for many Stillwater visitors and residents.
     Barbara continues to have a passion for style and fashions and an even greater passion for making Betty June's customers happy and coming back to see what the latest is.
     Barbara continues to operate Betty June's with the help of her husband, John, and shop dog, Tobbe.  Cassidy Hall joined as the retail manager two years ago and has been as integral part of Betty June's retail and online stores.  Our trusted, knowledgeable employees Maureen Stenseth, GiGi Lahr, and Brittney Turner help us guarantee the continued success of Betty June's, and the continued promise of a great customer shopping experience for all our patrons.
